A: A modular barn is a pre-manufactured building that is custom
built to your design and needs. It consists of wall panels and
a roofing structure that is like a big erector set. The barn
gets it's modular name from the wall panels that are prebuilt and
bolted together on site.
Q: What are the
advantages of a "modular barn" vs.
a wood barn?
A: A modular barn is more durable because of its steel
construction and laminated walls. Being modular it is very
easy to add onto and looks newer longer because galvanized steel
does not age like wood. If you sell your property and want to
move this barn you can take it down and build it in a new location.

Q: What is the order time
and installation time frames?
A: The order time may vary from time to time, but in
most cases it is around 45 to 60 days to get material. The
installation time also may vary depending on the size of your barn.
A four stall barn will take two to three days to install, where a
twenty stall barn may take two to three weeks.
Q: Do you do turnkey
jobs?
A: Yes. We have trades that can do everything from
the dirt work, concrete, electrical and plumbing. I have
worked with all of my trades for years.
Q: Do you work in wind
load areas?
A: Yes. We can go as high as 140 mph wind loads. We can
provide you with state stamped engineered drawings.
Q: Are these barns only
horse barns?
A: These are not only horse barns. We can do lots of different
styles of free span buildings for storage or shops.
Q: Can I add onto my
existing modular barn even if it is not a Choice Barn?
A: Yes. We have the same dimensions as one other barn company,
so we can bolt right onto your existing modular barn.
Q: Can I move my barn?
A: Yes. Because these buildings are modular they are able to
be taken down and relocated.
Q: What is the
maintenance on these barns?
A: Choice Barns builds a very low maintenance barn. The walls
and roof have a baked on paint. The stall interiors are lined
with a zincalume steel that is easy to clean and sanitize. The
easiest way to clean these barns is by pressure washing.
